Meridian Celestial Registry is an independent private business operating the MCR Celestial Registration Database. We provide symbolic, commemorative star naming registrations together with personalised digital certificates and related digital keepsakes.

Meridian Celestial Registry provides symbolic star naming registrations maintained in its independent private database. These names are commemorative and are not official astronomical designations recognized by the International Astronomical Union.

Each completed registration includes a symbolic name recorded against a real, catalogued star, a unique MCR registration number in the format MCR-YYYY-XXXXXX, an entry in the MCR Celestial Registration Database, and a downloadable digital certificate.

Package inclusions are listed on the registration packages page and on each order. Meridian Celestial Registry sells no physical goods: nothing is printed, packaged or shipped.

Digital products are generated automatically once payment is verified by our payment provider. Certificates and downloads are available immediately on the order confirmation page and afterwards in My Registrations. A confirmation email containing a secure link is also sent to the address provided at checkout.

If document generation fails, the paid order is retained for recovery and can be retried. We never mark an order as fulfilled while its digital products are unavailable.

Star names, catalogue designations, coordinates, magnitudes and spectral classifications are taken from published astronomical catalogues and presented as recorded. We do not fabricate astronomical data, and we do not claim scientific endorsement by any observatory or astronomical body.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the name, dedication and delivery address you provide, and for ensuring that submitted text does not infringe the rights of others or contain unlawful content. We may refuse or remove a registration that breaches this clause.

Registrations purchased while signed in appear in My Registrations. Guest purchases can be retrieved using the secure link issued at checkout and emailed to the address provided. Keep that link private; anyone holding it can access the associated downloads.

Once a registration is issued its MCR number is permanent. We can correct a misspelled name or dedication where the request is reasonable and the record has not been reassigned; such corrections are recorded in an internal audit trail.

The service is provided on an as-is basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
