How it works
A considered process, automatically completed
Registering a star takes a few minutes. Everything after payment — star assignment, registration number, certificate and delivery — is automatic.

Select your star
Choose Classic, Deluxe or Signature and pick a constellation. Only constellations with assignable catalogued stars are offered, and each star can be assigned once. If you choose “Surprise me”, the registry assigns an available star at the moment your payment is verified.

Personalize your registration
Name your star, add a recipient, choose an occasion and a special date, and write a dedication. You can preview the certificate design for your package before paying.

Pay securely
Checkout is handled by Stripe: cards, debit cards and supported digital wallets. We never see or store your full card details, and we do not ask for a shipping address because nothing is shipped.

Automatic registration
Once payment is verified, the registry assigns your star, allocates your permanent MCR number (MCR-YYYY-XXXXXX), stores the record and generates your digital files. This runs automatically and cannot create a duplicate for a repeated payment event.

Instant digital delivery
Your order page opens with the certificate and every included file ready to download, and a confirmation email is sent with a secure link. You can return to your files at any time from My Registrations.

Explore your star
Every registration has a registry page showing the star's catalogue designation, coordinates on the equatorial grid, magnitude and spectral classification. You can choose how much of your dedication is public.
If something goes wrong
A paid order is never presented as complete unless its files exist. If generation fails, the order is retained as paid and marked for recovery, the star reservation is released, and the registry can retry from the admin dashboard.
What we do not do
We do not post anything, print anything, or sell ownership of a star. We do not claim affiliation with any observatory, space agency or the International Astronomical Union.
Meridian Celestial Registry provides symbolic star naming registrations maintained in its independent private database. These names are commemorative and are not official astronomical designations recognized by the International Astronomical Union.
